The Basilica Block Party (BBP) is an annual rock music festival fundraiser for the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis, MN. Periscope took this project as an opportunity to present an open brief to the agency's creatives. In a small team, we concepted the idea of Hell Hath No Fury - a fem-punk band deemed too edgy for the festival hosted by the Catholic Church but demanding to play in spite of their rejection from the lineup.
This campaign worked alongside a broader campaign of "Witness It" which was the official branding for the event. Hell Hath No Fury was created to attract additional attention to the festival and give it a bit of an edge. We constructed a band using three women from the agency, then crafted an online persona and following. We made a scrappy guerrilla campaign involving wild postings, vandalism of the main campaign's OOH, a zine, a music video, produced three songs and a social media campaign to rally support for the band to be added to the BBP lineup.
My role in this project involved concepting, photographing the band, creating social media accounts, desiging wild postings, gig posters, a zine, and numerous social posts.
