1915 / 2015
Selections from 1915 / 2015, a documentary photo book created with archival documents and photographs. This book tracks my family over four generations and 100 years. The passing of time and path to American assimilation is recorded through the changing technology in photography. The book begins with cabinet card portraits in Anatolia, and ends with social media screenshots a century later. The book explores topics of identity and its relation to borders and boundaries as well as the extended impacts of forced displacement over generations.
